Privacy policy

This is a translation for your convenience; the German version is legally binding.

In short: no account, no cookies, no tracking, no ads and no third-party content. Nothing about you is stored permanently on our server.

2. Visiting the website and hosting

To deliver the site and the games to you, our server necessarily processes your IP address, the time, the requested file and your browser's identifier. This data is only used for delivery; we do not keep server log files.

The hosting provider is OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France. OVH processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). The server is located in an OVHcloud data centre in Canada, so the connection data mentioned above is processed in Canada. The European Commission has decided that Canada ensures an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR, Decision 2002/2/EC).

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably.

3. While playing

For online games the game server processes the player name you choose (no real name needed), your game inputs and the game state. Players in the same room see your player name. This data is kept in memory only and is deleted as soon as you leave the room or the game ends. There are no leaderboards and no user accounts. In singleplayer everything runs in your browser only.

To prevent abuse (e.g. scripts opening masses of rooms), the game server counts in memory how many rooms and connection requests come from an IP address. These counters are neither stored nor logged; they expire after one minute or as soon as the rooms are closed.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in offering the games you ask for and protecting them from abuse.

4. Storage in your browser

So you don't have to enter them every time, the site remembers your player name, your language and – if you change it – your colour scheme (light/dark) in your browser's local storage (localStorage: ft-name, ft-lang, ft-theme). These values stay on your device and are never sent to us. This is strictly necessary for the feature you use (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete them at any time by clearing the site data in your browser. No cookies are used.

5. No third parties

Fonts, images and scripts are loaded from our own server only. There are no analytics or tracking services, no ads and no embedded content from other providers.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Please contact the controller named above. As we store nothing permanently, we usually hold no data that we could attribute to you.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

You are not obliged to provide any data; without the technical connection the site cannot be displayed, though. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
